GROVE CITY - Today, Rep. Tim Bonner (R-Mercer/Butler) shared that the Mercer County Historical Society has been awarded a $5,000 grant from America250PA as part of the first round of Semiquincentennial Grants.
America250PA’s Semiquin Grants support educational, civic, and celebratory events and programming that elevate and enhance Pennsylvania’s celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026.
“I am pleased to see Mercer County involved in the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration,” Bonner said. “Mercer County’s rich history played a significant role in the growth of our nation and these funds will go to preserving our history and accomplishments for generations to come.”
